How do I get started with Discus?

Getting started with Discus is easy. You'll just need to take a few minutes to sign up for an account, and then you'll be ready to start creating profiles right away.

Can I send questionnaires to my candidates online?

Discus provides an entire suite of features to make this process easy and automatic. At the simplest level, you can simply enter a person's e-mail address, and Discus will send them an invitation and then display and manage the questionnaire. Once the questionnaire is complete, a report will immediately be compiled and added to your accounts.

Discus also provides lots of options for your to customise this process to meet your exact requirements. For example, you can arrange to be automatically notified and sent a copy of the report as soon as it is available.

Can a person completing a questionnaire read their own report?

This is a decision you can make as you set up an invitation. There's no requirement to share the report, but you have the option of doing so if you wish.

Discus can also provide an intermediate solution through the 'Feedback' report, which is an alternative version of the report specifically designed for this purpose, providing a readable and accessible summary of the results.

Do I have access to all my profile reports?

Every DISC profile produced on your account is held in your own secure Discus database. You can access, review and manage those reports at any time. Discus even provides extra features to assess the results in combination, such as comparing candidates against the needs of a role, or assessing how individuals would work together in a team.

How can I recover a lost or forgotten Discus password?

It's easy to reset your Discus access details. You can start the process from the Discus sign-in page, or by following the link below. Discus will handle resetting your access through your registered e-mail address.

Is training available?

We offer a comprehensive online video training course introducing the DISC system and its workings. The course is free if you sign up for an account with fifty credits or more.

Discus itself offers an interactive guide to get your started, and extensive help resources throughout the system.

I received a test invitation, but I'm not able to use it.

There can be various reasons for this. The invitation code might already have been used, or it might simply have expired, or been cancelled by the user who originally set up the invitation.

Your best course of action in a situation like this is to get in touch with your invitation provider and ask them to set up another invitation for you.

I completed an invited questionnaire, but I didn't receive a copy of my report.

When a Discus user sends out an invitation, they can choose whether to give you access to your report or not, so it may simply be that this option isn't active.

If you think you should have received a report, your best course of action is to contact the person who sent you your invitation; they will have the option of sending you a copy.

Can I try Discus for free?

Sorry, we aren't able to offer free trial profiles, but if you want to try the service, remember that you can set up a Discus account with just a single credit.

If you want to see what Discus can produce, take a look at our extensive library of sample reports.

Professional DISC profiling for 28 years

The DISC Personality Report

In-depth but accessible, the ultimate in DISC reporting

We provide some of the most advanced, wide-ranging personality profile reports available anywhere, with each report completely tailored to the specifics of a person's own individual profile.

While many DISC reports simply break down profiles into a handful of types, our reports are different: they incorporate a powerful reporting system that can describe a person's profile in detail, using plain language to cover numerous different business topics.

Reports are available at various levels to suit your needs, with the top-level Enhanced report running to some eighty pages or more, depending on the details of a profile. We offer a whole range of other reporting features, too, including the option to add your own branding to a report.

Report Levels

Discus provides three basic report levels, tailored to suit your requirements and your budget, ranging from the simple Outline report to the densely detailed Enhanced report. Typically, new reports are at the standard ‘Classic’ level, but you can choose to create reports at any level, and freely upgrade them to more advanced reports if you need a deeper level of interpretation.

Classic (Standard) Report

The most common reporting level, the Classic profile report provides plenty of layers of interpretations and analyses. The Classic report includes nine sections of textual reporting covering general business topics.

This report level includes:

  • Candidate Details
  • DISC Profile Series
  • Style Card Analysis
  • Trait Summary
  • Profile Tension
  • Textual Report (9 topics)
  • Relationship Keynotes
  • Job Match Analysis (optional, free)
  • Glossary

Textual report contents:

  • Overview
  • Behavioural Adaptation
  • Advantages and Disadvantages
  • Communication Style
  • Decision Making
  • Organisation and Planning
  • Motivation
  • Managing Style
  • Style of Management Required

That makes it easy to make printed copies, or to e-mail a report for review by others (and we actually provide built-in report e-mailing facilities to make this even easier). You also have the option to customise the report, focusing on just those topics that are directly relevant to you.

Discus Personality Report: Textual Report

As you'd expect of a DISC profile report, we start with the DISC profiles themselves. We do more than just show the profiles, but give a breakdown of each factor in each profile, explaining how it contributes to a person's overall behaviour and working style. There's plenty more graphical content, too, including Style Cards that summarise a person's behaviour in contexts like leading and learning, a Trait Grid showing how a person's approach might change over time, and a Profile Tension section to looking at potential sources of stress.

At the heart of a set of DISC results is the Textual Report, explaining a personality in terms of up to twenty-one different business topics.

Discus Personality Report: Relationship Keynotes

An overview of the ways the candidate interacts with other personality types.

Discus Personality Report: Job Match Analysis

Discus Personality Report: Glossary of Terms

Glossary of Terms

A complete and comprehensive reference to guide, customised for each candidate.

Each part of the Textual Report is crafted from a database of commentary that's matched to the exact details of a personality style, which can combine in literally millions of different possible ways. The report covers broad topics such as motivation and decision making, as well as performance in specific types of roles such as management or sales. Also included is a set of behavioural questions, so the DISC report can help you to design a customised interview.

There's even more to the report, too, including a look at the ways a person is likely to relate to others, and a full appendix covering any technical terms used in the main report. You can also add an optional Job Match, tying the report in to a particular role, and rating the personality against the needs of that job.

Choose any of your candidates, and you'll see a complete DISC report in your browser right away. From here, you can adjust the report's contents, and create a full PDF copy ready to share.

Even More Reports

Comprehensive as the main personality report is, there are even more reporting options available. Additional personality reports are also available to give you even more options and analysis. These additional reports are automatically available free for all reports at the Enhanced level, but you can also choose to make them available for other report types.

The Remote Working report focuses on the ways that an individual operates when away from the office environment, looking at areas where they can expected to excel, and conditions where they might need extra support. The report breaks down a person's remote working style into a series of eight different remote working factors to give an all-round view of performance in a remote work setting. Find out more...

The Feedback report contains much of the detail of a full DISC profile report, but reproduced in a simple and accessible way. Feedback reports are designed for you to give candidates feedback on their own results in a style that provides a useful overview without delving into the detail of a full personality report. Find out more...

The Motivation Spectrum report takes a close look at the motivational factors at work in an individual's personality. The report examines eight distinct motivation factors, examining each to discuss how it is likely to affect motivation in a general sense, and more specifically with respect to a candidate's current circumstances.
